Payment Options
Aware Therapy offers private pay as well as insurance for payment. Insurance companies covered include Optum, UMR, UHC, Medica, Surest, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Health Partners. Accepted payment methods for copays and private pay include cash, check, credit or debit card, and Health Savings Accounts. The payment method will be established when scheduling your first appointment. Payment can be made in advance or at the time of service.
There are benefits with private pay:
-You will not have to wait long for an appointment. Scheduling is flexible.
-You do not need a referral to be seen
-You may save money if you have a high deductible and/or limited (or no) insurance benefits for mental health treatment
-You do not need to have a documented mental health diagnosis to receive therapy
-Your therapy goals, the length of sessions, and the number of sessions you attend can be determined by you and your therapist, not by your insurance company
-Your records remain confidential (within the limits of the law) between you and your therapist
-Your therapist will be more available/more easily reachable to you than in a clinic setting
-Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) requires fewer sessions to see progress, which may mean you will have fewer sessions overall.
Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for health care services. This is to reduce any unexpected medical bills.
Aware Therapy's LLC's rates are listed above, and a written estimate can be requested that includes a description of services, session fees, and diagnostic codes.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services (e.g., psychotherapy and testing).
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one (1) business day before your scheduled health care service (e.g., psychotherapy or testing appointment). You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or print your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
